We are pleased to announce that Prof. (Dr.) Arup Kumar Chatterjee, Professor at O.P. Jindal Global University, served as Resource Person for the Faculty Development Programme organised by the Amity Institute of Social Sciences. The programme, titled “Trends, Transformative Learning & Applied Research in the Field of Social Science & Humanities,” ran from 2–9 June 2025 and formally recognised Prof. Chatterjee’s valuable contribution to advancing pedagogy and applied research in the social sciences.
Programme contribution and significance
During the week-long programme, Prof. Chatterjee delivered thematic sessions on contemporary research methods, curriculum innovation, and the integration of interdisciplinary perspectives in humanities teaching. His lectures emphasised transformative learning, ethical scholarship, and practical strategies for fostering research-led teaching—areas central to Amity’s stated objectives for the FDP.

This engagement exemplifies Prof. Chatterjee’s ongoing commitment to public scholarship, faculty capacity-building, and collaborative knowledge exchange. By bridging historical inquiry, cultural studies, and applied research methods, his participation helped equip faculty with tools to design resilient, research-informed curricula that respond to shifting academic and societal needs.
